Özen Bağbaşlıoğlu graduated in Psychology from Boğaziçi University with an honours degree. During her time as an undergraduate, she volunteered in the university’s research laboratories and completed her internship at a private psychiatry clinic. After graduating, she worked with children with special needs and their families at a private rehabilitation centre. She organized parent meetings and provided psychological counselling to the families.
She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Bahçeşehir University and working in the psychiatry department at Yedikule Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital, where she offers psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults. This approach aims to alleviate psychological distress by helping people become more aware of their inner world, and the unconscious processes that may be causing their difficulties. It also helps give them a fresh insight into the past, enabling them to see it from a new perspective.
