Gökçe Yücel Akyol

Gökçe Yücel Akyol graduated from Koç University with a double major in psychology and sociology. She completed her clinical psychology master's degree at İstanbul Bilgi University. Her thesis is about examining the role of projective identification, conflict resolution styles, gender roles and marital satisfaction between the couples. She also completed İstanbul Bilgi University Couple and Family Therapy Certificate Program accredited  by the  International Family Association (IFTA).

She has got internship at the Bakırköy Mental Health Hospital, Yedikule Surp Pırgiç Armanian Hospital and İstanbul Bilgi University Psychological Counselling Unit. She took part in different projects at some companies. She worked at the Women and Family Unit in Fatih Municipality and also different private psychological counselling centers as a clinical psychologist. She gave psychotherapy and psychological counselling to couple, family, adolescent and adults.

She offers psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. Her approach when working couple is both psychodynamic and systematic. She especially interested in anxiety problems and relationship problems; domestic violence, anger management, negative problem solving.
